OSMRE Rule change in Tennessee

The Office of Surface Mining first asked Tennesseans for public comment on rule changes regarding bonding and revegetation here.

OSM published the proposed rules on April 6 and is extending the public comment period from May 8 to June 30. Additionally a public hearing will be held at 7 p.m. June 1 at the Holiday Inn Select in Knoxville.

DATES: Comments on the proposed rule must be received on or before 4 p.m., local time on June 30, 2006. The public hearing will be held on June 1, 2006, at 7 p.m. local time.
