[Georgia] In a few short years, Georgia could replace Saudi Arabia as America ‘s fuel supplier when it comes to ethanol made from pine trees. “We’re hoping to be the next Saudi Arabia .” By 2010 Stuckey said the state would be producing 100 million gallons of bio-diesel from pines and seven Georgia companies are now working on ethanol production. “In three to five years Georgia is going to become ‘ground zero’ for the production of ethanol in this nation and it will be from pine trees.”
