Massey DENIED Second Silo at Marsh Fork Elementary

As many of you know, Massey subsidiary Goals Coal has been trying to build a SECOND silo within 300 feet of Marsh Fork Elementary.

Well, for a second time, they have been DENIED the permit. The DEP, earlier this week, cited specifically that the second silo would have been “too close to the school.”

The one pictured is closer, but is “legal” because of grandfather laws. Being “legal” doesn’t always make it “the right thing.”
